First Grade Field Trip

We went to the aquarium for Hayden's first grade field trip. It was fun, but very crowded and Hudson and I didn't get to see Hayden very much. She was with her group that she was assigned to. Hudson enjoyed seeing the sharks and the penguins, but mostly he wanted to get out of his stroller and run from me. After the aquarium we went to the park and had a picnic for lunch and played. It was a fun day and I think Hayden had a good time.

"Get down kitty"

I was in the laundry room and I heard Hudson yell, "get down kitty", which he always says when the cat is on the kitchen table. Well when I arrived in the kitchen it was Hudson on the table and he was still saying, "get down kitty". This next year should be very interesting.

Easter at the Hammonds

Easter was different this year because Brian and I both had to work. Just a slip up on our part. Anyways we had our babysitter watch the kids on easter, so the easter bunny was hiding the eggs the night before in the house anticipating the bad weather the next day. Racheal, our babysitter took pics of the kids digging into their easter baskets and finding their eggs. I don't believe that Hudson was really aware of easter, but he enjoyed what he found in the eggs. Never again will we both be working on easter, but we were so thankful to have such a wonderful babysitter there to capture the moments.

Hudson wants to sit at the bar now with his "sissy" to eat. He just loves being with his Hayden. My favorite quote for the week is:

A child will make love stronger, days shorter, nights longer, bankroll smaller, home happier, clothes shabbier, the past forgotten and the future worth living.

Graham is singing the blues

I took Graham to the vet to get him fixed and the vet called and said Graham had not lost his baby teeth so they were going to have to pull them. When I went to pick him up later on that afternoon the lady that works in the veterinarian's office handed me a vial with Graham's teeth in it. I said, "are you kidding me?". I told her I can't even keep up with my kids baby books, do you think i am going to make a baby book for this dog. Obviously other people take their pets much more seriously than I do. She said, "but there his baby teeth". I thought to myself, this lady is crazy. Anyways, Graham is home and back to his old self. They said he wouldn't poop for 36 hours and he pooped in my closet the next morning. Moral to this story: people are stupid about their pets and don't make promises you can't keep.

Hudson's "pee-pie"

Hudson has found a new love for pizza and he calls it "pee-pie". If he knows that pizza is in the oven he will curl up in a ball start screaming at the oven. He will not let you cut up his pizza he wants to eat the piece of pizza like big people do. It's pretty funny!! That is a pretty big piece of pizza Hudson.

Hudson and Brock

Hudson has a friend in our neighborhood that is the same age and they love to play together. It may not always be boy stuff that they do. For example, pushing a doll stroller around or fighting over a pink cadillac, but they love eachother and they don't care what anyone else thinks. Even the people driving by. Ha! Ha!.
